CG has been supporting Go ON UK in its goal to help everyone in the UK reach their full digital potential since 2012.
With 10.5 million UK adults and 1.58 million small business and charities still digitally disconnected, the charity, founded by Baroness Martha Lane-Fox, focuses on tearing down the barriers to total digital adoption. Using tools like the CG-built digitalskills.com website Go ON UK enables and inspires digital champions to help others in their local community.
As part of its recent drive, Go ON UK has redefined its definition of the Basic Digital Skills, which a staggering 1 in 5 UK adults still don’t have.
Focusing on 5 key digital skills areas including transacting and creating, the charity has identified actions that all UK individuals and organisations should be able to complete. With a fully digital nation adding an estimated extra £63 billion to the UK's GDP, getting everyone up to these levels has become critical.
So why not get involved? Add yourself or your project to the digitalskills.com map, or get your organisation to sign the Digitalskills.com charter.
You can find more information on the Go ON UK website and check out the new Basic Digital Skills definition.
