On Sunday 3 July, Port Solent played host to Bow Wow’s Dog Show to raise vital funds for Hounds For Heroes, a charity who provide specially trained assistance dogs for injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed Forces and the Emergency Services.

Karen Hassan, owner of Bow Wow’s at no7 a canine-themed boutique and café at Port Solent’s shopping centre The Trading Post, organised the event in collaboration with Allen Parton from the Hound’s for Heroes charity and Easy Networks.

The show consisted of seven categories including best in show, best rescue and best owner look-alike.

Karen said:

“We had a truly amazing day, I was overwhelmed by the turnout and we are hoping to have hit our £1,000 fundraising target. We are so proud to be supporting Hounds for Heroes. It is such a brilliant charity with amazing dogs.”
