FRESH from launching its new offering, CG Adventures, Carswell Gould is preparing to pull on its trainers and head outdoors this October.
The agency is taking part in the annual Walk the Test Way event, which sees hundreds of people walk all or part of the trail from St Mary Bourne to Romsey.
True to its promise to go to any lengths for its clients, the agency is taking on 11 miles of the route to support its client MSX’s bid to raise £3,000 for Oracle Cancer Trust.
The charity is leading research into head and neck cancer within the UK, funding vital research projects into ensuring a breakthrough for those with the disease. It is a cause close to the hearts of those at MSX after their former managing director, Fred Ridges, sadly died from throat cancer in 2004.
Now his daughter and current managing director of MSX, Nicola Ridges-Jones, is doing all she can to raise money for the charity in his honour.
CG’s Laura Downton, who looks after MSX’s PR and social media, said: “Nicola’s passion for the charity really touched us here at Carswell Gould and we immediately pledged to do what we could to help. Having just launched our adventure offering we’re all very much geared up for an adventure and can’t wait to get out there, even if it does mean acquiring a few blisters along the way!”
Nicola Ridges-Jones added: “We’re very excited that Carswell Gould will be shoulder-to-shoulder with us as we take on the Test Way. Just like us they go the extra mile for their clients and we know we’ll have great fun together while raising money for a good cause.”
