THE biggest event in the rigid inflatable boat (RIB) calendar is set to offer visitors the chance of a lifetime as it takes place at Cowes Yacht Haven in May. Visitors to RIBEX 2009 will have the opportunity to win a £20,000 boat, courtesy of ASIS RIBs and RIBEX Title Sponsor, Suzuki Marine. The 5.1-metre Mamba sports RIB is the very latest model from ASIS RIBs and, powered by a Suzuki 70hp 4-stroke outboard, it represents a 'complete package' rig ideally-suited for recreational family use.
Organiser, Hugo Montgomery-Swan, said: "RIBEX 2009 is the tenth year in the show's history and this exceptional prize represents a celebration of the very best possible kind. I believe too, it truly is unprecedented as a show prize here in the UK, in terms of its value and substance."
Cowes Yacht Haven, which is the heart of Cowes Week, was unanimously chosen as the destination to host the 10th annual RIBEX event from May 8 to 10.
