Award winning planning consultancy Terence O'Rourke has welcomed five new members of staff this month as it strengthens its planning and landscape teams in its 30th year.

Laura Black has joined Terence O'Rourke as a planning assistant from Winchester County Council, where she gained great experience dealing with planning applications and enforcement matters. She holds a BSc in Urban Planning from University College London (UCL) and contributes to commercial, residential and leisure projects, as well as organising public exhibitions.

Sophia Goodhead has returned to the team as a planning assistant after completing work experience at Terence O'Rourke's Bournemouth office during her Geography degree course at the University of West England (UWE). The planning consultancy firm is sponsoring her whilst she works towards her RTPI accreditation and postgraduate urban planning course at UWE.

Seth Loader has been appointed as a CAD designer. He brings with him a variety of technical skills including GIS and CAD which will help him to create visualisations of projects - essential for the landscape teams in early planning stages - and drawings for site promotion documents for the urban design team. He has joined the team from Savills, where he worked as a senior designer in the Southampton office.

After completing a masters in landscape architecture at the University of Gloucestershire, Matthew Evans has joined Terence O'Rourke as an assistant landscape architect.

Finally, Hayley Davis has been appointed as assistant environmental manager in the environment team. Hayley graduated from Brighton University in 2014 with a degree in environmental sciences and previously led a team of volunteers in Tanzania on a water, health and sanitation project for Raleigh International.

Managing director Tim Hancock said: "We are delighted to have Seth, Sophia, Laura, Matthew and Hayley on board. Whilst we are looking back at our achievements over the past 30 years, new members of staff help us to look forward at what is possible in the future. Their mix of skills is exciting and we look forward to showing our clients what they can bring to the table.
