SOUTHAMPTON-BASED wholesale distributor of hairdressing and beauty products, Salon Supplies, has become the latest addition to the ever-expanding Carswell Gould client portfolio. It briefed the company to create and launch a fully-comprehensive website to showcase its range of merchandise, via an integrated print and on-line marketing campaign.
With its network of trade stores across the south of England and its busy team of sales representatives, Salon Supplies is already well-known to the hairdressing trade. Its decision to create a fully-comprehensive website was based on client feedback and means that Salon Supplies will now be able to expand its offer to current clients and also attract new business.
Carswell Gould has designed and developed an interactive, user-friendly total solution. It cleverly shows off household names such as L'Oreal, REM, Wella and Clynol, constantly highlighting new products, best sellers, special offers and recommended items, while at the same time not forgetting important practicalities such as delivery details and returns. The whole range of hairdressing and beauty products is also easily accessible, via a series of simple drop-down menus, with families of products just a click away.
The tone is friendly and approachable, with lots of news, views and interviews with up-and-coming stars of the hair-styling world such as Leonardo Rizzo of Sanrizz. The whole site is easily navigable, with visitors encouraged to add comments and review products and sign up for an e-newsletter if they wish.
Pre-launch activity included teasers, launch offers, fliers and e-mailers aimed at current and future clients. A specially designed holding page on the website was used to capture potential clients' data ready for the launch and for future reference.
