Bridge expert, Tom Pepper is delighted to announce that he's organising a Chicago Bridge Afternoon on Thursday, 12 March. The event will be hosted by The Shelbourne at Sway and will take place between 2.30pm and 5pm.
This fun event is also helping to raise awareness of the Shelbourne Bridge Club, which will launch on Thursday, 16 April and then weekly thereafter from 2.30 - 5pm. All are welcome to come and play and make new friends.
Says Tom: "Bridge is such a wonderful and absorbing pastime and this new Bridge Club at Shelbourne is a great way to meet like-minded people. As far as I am aware, there is no other Bridge Club in Sway, so this will help to fill a gap in the village calendar. The Shelbourne at Sway is the most lovely venue and playing here will make it a very special experience."

Bridge is one of the most popular leisure activities in the UK, with around 300,000 people playing regularly. According to the English Bridge Union, it is proven to be good for the mind, with each game offering a unique set of problems and solutions. Every deal is different and playing bridge helps keep players mentally active.
Tickets for the Bridge Afternoon cost £6, including refreshments and are available either from Tom Pepper, on 01425 627606, or from The Shelbourne at Sway, on 01590 681439. There will also be a raffle and all proceeds will go to New Forest Mencap. Last ticket orders should be made by Monday, 9 March.
