Red Funnel is urging festivalgoers not to miss its heavily discounted early bird ticket and travel packages to the 2016 Isle of Wight Festival (9-12 June).

Until 30 September, Red Funnel has festival weekend camping tickets available for £186.90 adults, £170.90 students and £133.80 teens. Children 0-12 yrs are free.

In addition, Red Funnel has return ferry foot passenger fares on sale from Southampton via East Cowes for just £10 (£7.50 children) or via West Cowes for £15 (£12.50 children). Vehicle fares are also available to book until 30 September with return prices from £82.50 for a car and up to 7 people.

Better still, there are free payment terms in place to spread the cost. For festival tickets, a deposit of 20% is required at the time of ordering followed by 4 equal monthly instalments of 20% starting in January 2016.  For vehicle ferry bookings, 25% of the cost is payable at the time of booking with the balance payable 30 days before travelling to the festival in June 2016. Both payment plans are completely free but are only available to online customers.

Jonathan Green, Red Funnel’s marketing and communications director said: “We have been an official IoW Festival ticket agent since 2002 but this is the earliest we’ve been on sale for the following year. We would encourage as many people as possible to take advantage of these fantastic early bird offers and to spread the cost into 2016. Festival tickets also make great Christmas presents for friends and relatives”.

The Isle of Wight Festival marks the start of the UK festival season and is held at Seaclose Park in Newport on the Isle of Wight. It is one of the country’s most iconic festivals dating back to the heady days of 1968. It was made famous across the world in 1970 when 600,000 people turned up for a 5 day extravaganza which included Jimi Hendrix, Procol Harum, Chicago, The Who, Joni Mitchell, The Doors, Donovan, Leonard Cohen, The Moody Blues and Emerson Lake & Palmer to name just a few.

In the modern era, the Isle of Wight Festival has played host to Bryan Adams, David Bowie, The Who, REM, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Muse, The Rolling Stones, The Police, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, Fleetwood Mac and many more.
