Today at TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show, Frank Dixie, Managing Director of PSP, the UK’s fastest-growing freight forwarder, announced a raft of investment initiatives which will aim to increase the company’s turnover to £25million within five years.

Central to this five-year plan is a £1million programme of investment in four new packing and shipping offices across the south, creating 100 new jobs. In addition to Bournemouth Aviation Park, which launched in June 2017, the planned locations for the four further packing and shipping offices include Sussex, Kent, East London and Southend, Essex.

The last 20 years have been incredible for PSP – we are proud to have worked with, and supported, the best in the marine industry - The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, Sunseeker, Fairline, Dee Caffari MBE, Bear Grylls and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, to mention a few. Landau UK also announced rapid expansion plans for 2019, including adding a raft of new service offerings to its portfolio, with an aim of tripling the size of the business and turnover within just three years. The new initiatives announced by Landau UK CEO, Ben Metcalfe, at the TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show include:

  • Expanding existing services to include fabrication, hydraulics and more complex blasting
  • Moving to larger premises with in-house lifting facilities
  • Applying for more public sector and MOD contracts
  • The growth of specialist resource supply to include marine carpenters and electricians

The timely announcement comes as Landau UK celebrates a quarter of a century in business on the South Coast.

It’s been a phenomenal 25 years for Landau UK, from setting up the company in a bedroom in Whiteley, to our state-of-the-art facilities in the prestigious Swanwick Marina. From our initial contract with Princess, to launching the commercial arm of the business in 2014 and our contract with the MOD / Babcock, we’ve seen enormous growth. However, as we expand and grow the business we are committed to keeping the ‘family feel’ our customers expect from us. We will continue to focus on providing quick reactions, attention to detail, emergency repairs and second-to-none customer service.
