The Nuffield, Southampton is a regional host for the the Royal Shakespeare Company's Open Stages project as part of the Cultural Olympiad 2012.
Local amateur theatre companies have been working closely with The Nuffield culminating in a week-long Shakespeare festival between Sunday 10th and Saturday 16th June.
Each amateur company will have the chance to perform a 20 minute excerpt of either a Shakespeare play or a performance inspired by Shakespeare.
One company will then be selected to represent the local area in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Carswell Gould worked with The Nuffield to produce a series of promotional items for the festival which would represent the variety of performances based around the theme of Shakespeare and give it a modern, exciting edge.
