It was windy, raining and miserable in Southampton, but at the Bargate, sunny smiles banished grey skies, as finalists of the Miss PSP Southampton Boat Show gathered outside the Carswell Gould offices.
Celebrating 40 years of the Boat Show at Southampton with a balloon release, the girls added a touch of glamour and sparkle to the occasion, on what had to be the wettest day of the summer. Mike Enser from National Boat Shows counted down and 400 bright red balloons were released.
Although it has been involved with the Boat Show for many years, this year Carswell Gould is organising the Miss PSP Southampton Boat Show competition and a record entry of gorgeous girls was recorded. However, the judges are not just looking for the prettiest face! As well as the on-line vote, the girls will visit several stands at the show where they will perform a variety of fun tasks and on the main stage, will show two different sides of their personality with changes of clothes - marine and cocktail. There will also be a live audience vote for the girl who stands out on the day.
