Bank holiday revellers flocked to Port Solent for a fantastic weekend of live music and family fun.
The waterfront was the first port of call for visitors looking for a relaxing day out with children’s entertainment, which continued throughout half term week.
There was dancing on the boardwalk when female Sixties band The Fliks, Big Brother Soul and Betty Blue took to the stage on Bank Holiday Monday.
The crowds took advantage of the marina background and music while taking a refreshment break at Port Solent’s many popular bars and restaurants.
There was also plenty to keep youngsters amused in the school break at the activity-packed free Kids Club.
Silly Scott clowned around with his special blend of magic and mayhem, and The Creation Station craft workshop gave children the chance to make pirate hats, decorate a ship’s parrot and create their own desert island artwork.
The pom-poms will be out on Thursday (2 June) for a lively cheerleading session led by professional dancers from Manic Stage Productions. Budding little cheerleaders will bob around the marina in time to the music while parents relax on the sidelines.

“We are over the moon that we will have free events like this, and much more, at Port Solent throughout this summer. Our Kids Club is very popular, but we do ask that children bring an adult with them to enjoy the fun too. Don’t forget there’s always free parking here."
