Hampshire Cultural Trust has sponsored one of Marwell Wildlife’s Zany Zebras.

The trust has joined the stampede of colourful Grevy’s zebra sculptures that will be placed on a trail throughout Southampton and the wildlife park this summer, as part of a public art extravaganza for both residents and visitors to enjoy.

Hampshire Cultural Trust’s zebra will be regally decorated in the run up to the trust’s big theme for 2016, Royal Blood. This year Hampshire is under siege by the Kings and Queens from years gone by. Royal Blood’s year long series of exhibitions, performances and lectures across the county will bring the exciting - and often gruesome - historical periods to life.

Jane Baker, director of communications and development for Hampshire Cultural Trust, said:

“Hampshire Cultural Trust is delighted to give its support to such a world-class public art event that will delight residents and visitors alike.”

Kirstie Mathieson, Project Manager for Marwell’s Zany Zebras, said:

“We are thrilled that Hampshire Cultural Trust have joined the stampede. The project will attract hundreds of thousands into the region and provides a great opportunity to shout about all that Hampshire has to offer. Not only encouraging the trail-goers to stay in the area for longer, but also, and more importantly, to return time and time again to enjoy our numerous attractions and museums, cities & towns as well as stunning countryside.”
