Carswell Gould is thrilled and privileged to announce that it will be hosting a series of very special wine tasting evenings with Gerard Basset MW, for a hand picked list of clients and friends, in 2009.
Gerard is perhaps best known as co-founder of the phenomenally successful Hotel du Vin boutique hotel chain but he is also one of the UK's most knowledgeable and highly qualified sommeliers and is one of only 277 Masters of Wine in the world. Together with his wife Nina, Gerard has now set up another award-winning hotel, this time in the New Forest, TerraVina, which has not only been voted one of Britain's Top Ten hotels in 2009 by the Good Hotel Guide but also one of the best new places to stay in the world, by Conde Nast.
Gerard will be leading four individually themed tutorials - Champagne, New World Pinot Noir, White Burgundy and Syrah versus Shiraz. Each one promises to be an unforgettable event and it hardly needs saying that a tutorial from Gerard is a very special treat. Once experienced never forgotten.
Because these are such exclusive and intensive events, the numbers have had to be limited and only 15 guests can be invited to each session. It is, therefore, important to register your interest early.

Each session will be held Carswell Gould's offices. It is suggested that guests arrive at 5.30pm for a start time of 6.00pm. The tutored tasting will be 30 - 45 minutes.
