Not content with lending its design skills to websites, adverts and brochures, CG’s latest canvas comes in the form of a 70-foot yacht.
CG has designed the livery of the ‘PSP Logistics’ boat, which is soon to set sail around the world in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race.
The PSP Logistics yacht and team is sponsored by PSP, which marine specialist CG has worked with for the last half a decade.
CG was commissioned to design the livery for the yacht, with the specific aim of helping PSP increase its visibility during the race.
On Friday CG designer and associate partner Tom McLean went to inspect the fruits of his labour as ‘PSP Logistics’ was officially unveiled.
He said: “It was incredibly rewarding to see my design on the yacht. Having a passion for sailing myself, it was a great moment to see it on the water.”
Designed by renowned naval architect Tony Castro, the Clipper 70 design is faster and more dynamic than previous Clipper Race yachts.
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 13/14 will start from London on September 1. Those competing will spend some 11 months on the water as they attack the 40,000-mile racecourse head on.
