The future is looking rosy for a Hampshire charity, following a makeover from Carswell Gould.
Multi-award-winning agency Carswell Gould, which specialises in digital marketing, creative, web, design and PR, has given the Rose Road Association’s branding a much-welcomed refresh in its 61st year.
Carswell Gould employees took time out from working on their latest project for lastminute.com founder and UK Digital Champion, Baroness Martha Lane Fox CBE, to unveil the new look to Rose Road staff. The big reveal took place in the apt setting of Mottisfont House in Romsey’s famous rose garden.
As well as the new branding, Carswell Gould has armed Rose Road Association fundraisers with a highly-creative social media strategy to help it increase online donations over the next year. This will be run through the charity’s Twitter and Facebook channels.
Neil Wilson, Director of Business Development at Rose Road Association, said: “Having provided an important service for families in Southampton and southern Hampshire for over 60 years, the charity is now evolving, expanding its care and support across the county. We want our branding to reflect that change and naturally Carswell Gould was the first choice to make it happen. We couldn’t be happier with the way it looks and we know it will serve us well, long into the future.”
The decision was made to consolidate the previous Rose Road branding and the Children’s Appeal into a single, unified identity. As such, a vibrant magenta was combine with a fresh, modern typeface and an elegant, easy to recognise logo.

It was important that the brand conveyed Rose Road’s core objective of making a positive difference to the lives of young disabled people, as well as reflecting some of the personality that shines through whenever you meet Rose Road staff and service users.”
