Carswell Gould has done the double and yet again been shortlisted for not one but two prestigious Wessex CIPR PRide awards, which showcase the best PR work being carried out across the region.
CG is one of only a handful of agencies shortlisted for the 'Best Campaign £10k and Under' category, after its work for RIBEX caught the eye of the panel of top industry judges.
The team was briefed by RIBEX organisers to raise awareness of the rigid inflatable boat show on the Isle of Wight, which takes place every May. As part of the programme of activity to promote 2010's event CG got show organiser, Hugo Montgomery-Swan, to race TV survivalist, Bear Grylls, across the Solent in two identical RIBS. The campaign yielded 70 pieces of media coverage and a return on investment of more than 3,000 per cent.
Managing Partner, Gill Gould said: "The whole office is ecstatic to be shortlisted in not one but two categories. It really is testament to the hard work and creativity that we have put into every campaign. Last year we scooped the gold award for our work with Southampton City College and we hope to build on that success by winning again this year."
Laura Downton, who worked on the RIBEX campaign and has been instrumental in delivering many successful campaigns for CG's clients this year, has also been shortlisted in the toughly-fought 'Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year' category.
Creative Director, Ed Gould, said: “We're so thrilled that someone else other than us and our clients recognises the commitment and quality Laura brings to everything she does. All our fingers are crossed that our PR star brings home the gold.”
