CG has just completed a meaty project, which has revolutionised the way a business makes its sales.
John Bilsland Family Butchers and Delicatessen, which has stood firm in Hampshire for decades, asked CG to help it find a way to modernise the way it sells its products and tap into the lucrative online market.
The firm wanted to take advantage of using the web to increase sales but needed CG’s expert help in providing the right solution at a modest budget.
After looking into all aspects of the business, CG recommended a website that would allow customers to look up orders online. As the business owners had little experience in updating and maintaining websites, CG knew it needed to create a site that was easy to update.
CG designed the site in a colourful and illustrative style to reflect John Bilsland’s service and products. The look and feel was fresh, just like John Bilsland’s meat, and the design was friendly and personal, just like John Bilsland’s service.
CG’s programmers, who spend time researching the latest in web technology, then used the most up-to-date tools to embed CSS3 styles into the site - something very new in the world of the web.
In order to fit the brief, CG set up social media channels for the company and used the latest techniques so that John Bilsland’s staff could update parts of the site and improve SEO by publishing content on these channels.
The specials board on the website is updated by staff using Twitter. The Twitter page, along with the Facebook site set up by CG, also helps to push traffic to the website and expose the John Bilsland brand online.
The team also added analytics software so they could monitor use to determine if and when full online sales should be invested in.
The result was a well-designed site, which is easy to order from and easy to update using simple social media channels.
