CARSWELL Gould reinforced its commitment to learning on Thursday, November 12 at Southampton City College's awards evening. CG's PR team attended the Grease-themed bash to look after the press and publicity and also to meet the winner of the Carswell Gould Award For Achievement.
CG believes that investing in education and skills is vital and, as a result, sponsors an award at the college's celebration evening every year.
The CG gong went to a worthy winner, Southampton artist Simon Budd. Simon studied a BA hons foundation course in art and design at City College and despite having learning difficulties, excelled in his work. Tutors commended his commitment and he has since gone on to exhibit his work in public.
CG's Managing Partner, Gill Gould, said: "We are incredibly proud to sponsor this award and Simon is a shining example of the great commitment and talent that there is at City College."
Simon was presented with his award by Danny Bayne, winner of ITV show Grease is the Word and star of the West End version of the film.
