CARSWELL Gould's Laura is warming up her vocal chords this week as she prepares to take to the stage with her band, Afrodisiac. Laura, who spends her days getting Carswell Gould's clients in the press, sings in a girl band with friends Sammi and Charmaine and will perform at a special concert next Friday (March 20).
The trio will take to the stage at The Point Theatre in Eastleigh as part of AAIR Festival of Dance 2009. The show will be hosted by former BBC Strictly Come Dancing professional, John Byrnes and will showcase 12 exciting performances from across the dance spectrum. There will be routines including everything from hip hop to Arengtine tango and disco to ballet.
The evening of entertainment, sponsored by Condor Office Solutions and The Coast radio, is being held to raise money for Hampshire Charity, AAIR, which raises vital funds for research into asthma and allergic disease.
Laura said: "We took part in the show last year and we're really looking forward to doing it again. We know people who have been badly affected by asthma so to be able to do something to fund research into it is really positive."
Tickets are available at The Point box office on 023 8065 2333. More information at www.aaircharity.org Doors open at 7pm on Friday, March 20. Tickets are £12 or £10 for groups of 10 or more.
