As auditions go, this was a tough one. Communications agencies from all over the country were summoned to the heart of England, Oxfordshire to be exact, to try out for the part of brand expert in the major drama that was unfolding in the middle of Didcot.
A multi-million pound, state of the art centre being built in the town was, like a true prima donna, in need of some direction. Enter stage left, the South's leading communications agency Carswell Gould, ready to take a lead role in its branding and marketing. With the spotlight on it, and a panel of judges to assess its performance, Carswell Gould stole the show and got the part.

Gill points out that Carswell Gould has many years' experience working with theatres and arts centres all over the UK, including The Nuffield in Southampton, The Point at Eastleigh, Proteus and the Theatre Royal in Winchester: "I think our established track record, and strong links within the industry, proved an invaluable asset for us during the selection process, and will stand us in great stead as we move forward with Cornerstone into what looks set to be a hugely successful future for all - not just for the organisers and ourselves, but more importantly for the people who live and work in the region and will be able to enjoy all the entertainment, education, arts, music, dance and drama that will be going on within this fantastic facility."
The arts centre will be the only one of its kind within the region and will be presented as a serious alternative to the cultural offerings available in the centre of Oxford. Carswell Gould is clearly well rehearsed and looking forward to playing their part to perfection in the Cornerstone performance: "This opportunity has certainly put the Carswell Gould team's creativity in overdrive," she says.
