Integrated marketing and communications agency, Carswell Gould has been recognised for its exceptional support of Southampton Hospital charity, the Red and White appeal.
The agency was amongst a range of high calibre local businesses that provided services free of charge to help the charity achieve its fundraising aims.
Carswell Gould Creative Director, Ed Gould comments: “We are extremely pleased to be able to offer our support to such an excellent cause. With the NHS facing considerable financial constraints, we feel it’s incredibly important to help where we can, especially as this benefits the whole community.”
In recognition of the agency’s work a silver corporate star award was presented by Mark Hackett, CEO of University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
Fundraising Manager for the hospital Carrie Bolt explains: "We are delighted to award Carswell Gould with this award for their fantastic support in supplying free email software to Southampton Hospital Charity and its Red & White Appeal. The team at Carswell Gould have been incredibly friendly and helpful to us. The email campaigns have made a huge difference to the way we communicate with our corporate and community supporters, as well as saving us a lot of money that we would otherwise spend on posting our latest news and event information."
Carswell Gould worked with the charity to deliver a bespoke email marketing system that helped to carry the Red and White message far and wide to raise money.
Carswell Gould designer Tom Mclean explains: “Ebuild can be a very powerful tool. For this campaign we created and developed bespoke templates that offer a real legacy to the campaign which it will benefit from for years to come. We are great supporters of its use and are thrilled that it has worked so well.”
Ed Gould collected the award on behalf of the agency and was then offered a fascinating behind the scenes tour of the hospital theatres and pathology laboratories with Consultant Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgeon, Mr Neil Pearce.
The Red & White Appeal has so far raised £1.1 million towards its £1.76 million target! Money from the appeal will be used to create a specialist treatment unit for blood cancer patients from across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, Wessex and the Channel Islands.
