Susan Young joins Carswell Gould to head up the training side of the business, which is rapidly expanding as companies recognise the value of properly trained and motivated staff. Susan said: “Research shows that during the last recession companies which invested in their staff were more likely to survive and succeed when the economic climate changed for the better.“ She will be responsible for co-ordinating and providing sales and marketing training on behalf of the integrated marketing and communications agency.
Although highly qualified across all marketing disciplines, Susan is not just an academic or theorist. Her leadership skills have helped her hold Directorships in several UK blue chip companies and she can claim over 25 years' practical experience in business; Susan has headed Marketing, Sales and Customer Service divisions in market-leading organisations. A high-achiever, she has helped several companies not only hit targets but exceed expectations and win awards.

Susan, from Lymington, will feel at home with Carswell Gould's marine heritage. She is a keen sailor and qualified Coastal Skipper. In 2003 she competed in the Round Britain and Ireland Race on a 72ft yacht.
