Colin Langdown, trustee of The Blue Lamp Trust and managing director of Christie Intruder Alarms Ltd, presented the grant to volunteers from the Moving On Project at the X-perience Youth Centre in Fareham last week (27 August).
Colin said: "We are delighted to support a charity that makes such a difference to young people's lives in the local area. It is an excellent and long running organisation that fully deserves this grant from The Blue Lamp Trust."
The Moving On Project has been offering free counselling for 20 years to young people in Fareham and Gosport who need advice on issues affecting their education and progression into adulthood.
The Blue Lamp Trust bids for community funding from central and local government to make grants to local schemes working towards reducing crime, the fear of crime and the risk of fire in the county. This grant will allow the Moving On Project to provide counselling for young victims of crime.
