A highly creative way to tackle a small challenge

Not all big challenges come in large boxes and when PSP Worldwide Logistics called on Carswell Gould to bring to life a modest-sized exhibition space using a highly creative approach, we delivered. Our solution was to create an eye-catching stand that featured a giant robot in a packing case.

The marine specialist freight forwarding company offers air freight, sea freight, export packing, documentation, worldwide boat transportation, projects, and dangerous goods shipping. They wanted to promote their custom-made wooden packing cases at the trade show with a unique and dramatic display.

What we did

Carswell Gould designed PSP’s stand to demonstrate the availability of packing for items of all sizes. Our concept was to put a giant robot – into a huge packing case measuring 3x3 m real size – to be produced as a 3D artwork for the trade stand.

We also produced a business card featuring the image of Robox and carrying PSP Worldwide Logistics sales information.

We produced:

  • The design of the robot and PSP packing cases for a 3D panel to be installed on the stand. Its hands were printed on side panels and attached to the walls to create perspective of the character.
  • The signs with key messaging and services as a huge label
  • Supply signs and branding artwork for the client to print
  • Updated the corporate brochure
  • Design a new PSP Worldwide Logistics leaflet

Outcome

PSP Worldwide Logistics Marketing Director Jo Dixie-Goodwin said:

"The stand looked fabulous at the trade exhibition. We loved it and it helped us stand out at this show and do great business. We are now looking at other ways to use the character in future marketing initiatives. "
